Student Government Eligibility Form (via CI sync): Apply Here!
Student Government is seeking students to join us for the 2023-2024 academic year! Currently, we are seeking students for the following positions:
- Senator (4 vacant positions)
- Senator of Academic Affairs
- Senator of Commuters and Transportation
- Senator of Social Justice
- Senator of Sustainability and Technology
- Requirements: All Senators are required to attend every Senate Meeting (Wednesdays at 9am-11am), serve a minimum of 5 hours per week, and serve on 1 University Committee, please review Student Government Bylaws for more details.
- Eligibility: minimum cumulative and semester GPA 2.5, enrolled in 6 units per semester*, completed at least 6 units at CI*, and in good judicial standing with the University.
- Chief Justice (1 position)
- Requirements: Serves as the head of the Judicial Branch responsible for the administration of investigations and hearings of the Judiciary, attend all Senate Meetings (every Wednesday 9am-11am, serve as the chair of Student Government's Internal Affairs Committee, please review Student Government Bylaws for more details.
- Eligibility: Completed a minimum of 24 units of coursework with a minimum of 12 units at CI, maintains a cumulative and semester GPA no less than 2.5, enrolled in a minimum of 6 units per semester at CI throughout their term.
- Associate Justices (2 positions)
- Requirements: Performs duties delegated by the Chief Justice, serve on Student Government's Internal Affairs Committee, serves no less than two hours per week while school is in session, please review Student Government Bylaws for more details.
- Eligibility: Completed a minimum of 24 units of coursework with a minimum of 12 units completed at CI, maintains both a cumulative and semester GPA of no less than 2.5, enrolled in a minimum of 6 units per semester at CI.
- Interns (10+ positions)
- Requirements: serve 3 in-person hours, assists in planning/coordination, and execution of SG events, attend and report at all meetings of their assigned branch, work alongside members of SG to better represent the students of CI, please review Student Government Bylaws for more details.
- Eligibility: does not require a CI GPA during the student's first semester at CI, please review Student Government Bylaws for more details.
* For Graduate Students: enrolled in minimum of 3 units and have completed 3 units at CI.
